Read “No Apology Necessary” (and the comments) now because I didn’t know about it before now–WOW! Erica deserves a top positive responder vote! Just a thought–it might be okay to apologize when we are told we have offended someone even when we don’t believe we did any thing wrong and didn’t mean to be offensive–weaker brother and all. Read a couple interesting books related to the topic a while back: John Paul Jackson’s NEEDLESS CASUALTIES OF WAR and THE BAIT OF SATAN by John Bevere. I was on a “break” from church going (as in attending a service on a Sunday morning) the summer I read Jackson’s book. When I was finished I brought a copy to my pastor, apologized for the “friendly fire” I was responsible for and explained that the Spirit had used the book to convict me. The book didn’t make going to meetings any easier but at least I wasn’t caught in the trap of blaming the pastor/service/worship/etc.

I have apoligize before for things,,even when I didn’t feel I had done anything wrong. I didn’t feel that this was one of those times….especially when my salvation was being called into question.
