I ran across an article on the 360 Church at MMI, (thanks Todd) and thought it was interesting. Just an example of a church thinking outside of the parameters of a building, and focusing on making an impact in their community.
“I wanted to make our focus less about the inside and more about the outside, in a personal sense,” Pastor McCoy says.
Specific in its direction and needs, the nondenominational Christian church sets out to redefine worship. The congregation knows what it does not want, say its elders: its own building, repetition, internalization, spectators.
Instead, it craves relevancy, challenge, action, improvisation and collaboration.
