Jimmy,
Can you help me understand this notion. I am a bit thrown off by this post and the comment you made. I do not want to make any assumptions. I just came across your website and began reading posts, most of which are really good, but this one I question.
My question is, “Are you advocating tattoos as a Christian?”
I’d rather wait for you response before going in depth on this, since I know I could easily be misunderstanding something here. But just so you are aware of where my question stems from, initially what comes to mind is scripture. I and I assume you understand that to be in Christ we are to walk in the Spirit, adhering to the Spirit. So with this understanding I am not seeing how a tattoo would fall in line with walking in the Spirit. The tattoo itself is something of this world is it not? Also, the desire that must precede the act of getting a tattoo is also something of this world is it not?
It just comes off as a promotion for tattoos from a Christian, and I don’t understand how that is biblical.
So if you could help me understand this I would appreciate it. I preferred emailing you but did not find your contact anywhere.
