I stumbled across this post by Perry Noble that absolutely tore me up. It is a definite must read.

He said, “The church is more equipt to help than anyone or anywhere else.” Sadly, that’s where he has it wrong. We have not been taught to help or encouraged to help and have rarely seen examples of helping outside our own doors. At least that’s been my experience over the last 30 years and 7 fellowships. Even within the fellowship the “workers” seem few.
Comment by minnowspeaks July 4, 2008 @ 3:46 amMinnow…sad;y I think alot of us have been to that particular ‘fellowship’ where it feels like that the workers are the same people all of the time. We called it the ‘us four and no more’ phenomenon.
